Flying Dress Barbados Photoshoot FAQs

Thanks for your interest in our flying dress photoshoot! This is a FULL SERVICE option in which we do all of the work for you! We will organize a once-in-a-lifetime photoshoot using our flying dresses! We bring the photographer, flying dress assistant, we provide posing help, light styling, and retouch and deliver your images to you.

How it works:

1. Reserve Your Flying Dress Package first by choosing the color dress you'd like to wear.

2. Prior to adding the product to your shopping bag, you will be prompted to select the day and time for your photoshoot. If a day/time is not available it is because that slot is already sold out.

3. That's It!  Get ready for your shoot, our team will be in touch with you once we receive your booking!

• 1 Year Photo Backup in case of image loss. You may also request your un-retouched images in the event you'd like to have additional images retouched. Images can be retouched at a cost of $30/image.

We typically shoot cruisers in our 10am photoshoot time slot as most cruises arrive in Bridgetown Port at 8am. Please note our 10am slots are our most popular time slot so if you are traveling on a cruise, we highly recommend you book your photoshoot far in advance. We shoot cruisers at Carlisle Bay which is
a short drive from the Port. Most cruisers will plan to spend the day at a beach bar on Carlisle Bay (Boatyard is most popular) and after they do their shoot they will enjoy lunch, beach and water sports at Carlisle Bay. We are able to organize transportation but it is quite easy to get a taxi in the port and let them know you are going to Carlisle Bay/Boatyard.

We are able to schedule your photoshoot to be at any location in Barbados. When you make your booking, you can let us know where you are located and we will do our best to come to your location and/or find a location that is close to you unless you'd like to shoot elsewhere. We typically shoot on beaches but if you prefer a garden location, we are able to accommodate.

Absolutely! If your partner is not wearing one of the flying dresses, they can join the shoot for no additional cost. If they are joining and will need a flying dress, see below for our photoshoot discount for multiple participants. Barbados Dress Rentals is LGBTQIA+ friendly!

We love to shoot group photoshoots, whether its a girls trip, mother/daughter or just two people who want to shoot together. For groups of 2 - 4, we provide a discount of $100 USD off per person, use code: GROUP. For groups of 5 or more, we provide a discount of $150 USD off per person, use code: GROUP150. Group pricing is not available for photoshoots utilizing our young girl dresses for girls ages 5 - 10 as these are already discounted photoshoots.

The available times for photoshoots are 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4:30pm. You will get great sunlight during any time slot but if you would like a sunset shoot, you should select 4:30pm.

You will receive:

• 7 High Resolution Retouched Photos (digital). Your images will be selected by our team to determine the best images from the images reel. Clients that would like to see their raw images to make selections must make us aware of this at booking. Once images are selected by our team, the image selections are final.
• 1 Year Photo Backup in case of image loss. You may also request your un-retouched images in the event you'd like to have additional images retouched. Images can be retouched at a cost of $30/image.
• Photos delivered in both high and low resolutions (JPG and raw formats). Suitable for high quality printing as well web and social media use

Our Flying Dresses Fits Sizes XS - 4X. It works for Straight Size Through Plus Size and Is Maternity Friendly!

It is not possible to try on dresses prior to your shoot but rest assured our dresses have adjustable waistbands that allow them to accommodate sizes XS - 4X!

We do not provide rentals ONLY on the flying dresses but you can select a rental from our luxury dress rentals category.

Barbados typically has sunshine most days 365 days a year but during rainy season, you may experience intermittent rain. Usually that rain is transient and does not occur all day but in some cases it does. We will always do our best to reschedule shoots and will keep clients abreast of possible weather disturbances that may affect their shoot. We recommend that you schedule your shoot early in your vacation so that if we need to reschedule the day or time, we have some flexibility.

As part of our marketing for BDR, we typically post client images and behind the scenes videos on our social media, advertising and website post shoot. Unless our clients request that their images/videos not be used in our marketing prior to the shoot, we reserve the right to utilize these images and video.

All bookings are final and no refunds will be issued on Flying Dress photoshoots. If your photoshoot is affected by inclement weather, we will attempt to reschedule it. If we are not able to reschedule your shoot, we will issue a refund. No-shows will not be refunded and will be considered a completed photoshoot.
