Barbados Dress Rentals is the newest venture of serial entrepreneur Monif Clarke. Having moved to Barbados in 2017 for a change of pace and lifestyle, Ms. Clarke, who has almost 20 years in the fashion industry in New York City, wanted to bring her entrepreneurial expertise and fashion know-how to Barbados. A child of Barbadian parents, Monif has always had an affinity for Barbados and traveled back and forth every year as a child. As the owner of a number of ecommerce businesses including Monif C., Plus Size Bodystockings and M Clarke Consulting LLC, Ms. Clarke wanted to bring her business savvy and love of building consumer businesses to Barbados.

Clarke, a New Yorker by birth moved to Barbados in 2017. A child of Barbadians, Monif knew from an early age that she wanted to become a citizen of Barbados and eventually move there to build a new life away from the hustle and bustle of her New York City lifestyle. Monif is proud to be able to start her first venture in Barbados and hopes to be an inspiration for fellow Barbadians to start ecommerce businesses to create their own economic prosperity.
